About

ADONNA HOUSE

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS

God has moved in our own hearts and in the hearts of so many others that are supporting this work the response from people in Tobago and Trinidad and America has been tremendous. The outpouring of prayers and support to help orphaned children has been awe-inspiring. It leaves us humbled and encouraged to see others rise up to share the love of Jesus with our orphaned brothers and sisters.
Adonna’s orphanage has been implemented from a vision of heartfelt opportunity and has been in operation since February 25, 2012. We recognize the importance of meeting the needs of children who are vulnerable and alone by providing a place they can call home and assisting them through love and excellent childcare services.

Our hope is that you will join us to help these children have a better chance in life and become productive citizens of the world.

WOMEN'S SHELTER EFFORTS

Adonna Institution For Orphans is currently being used as a shelter for women with children. It is a non-governmental, non- profit organization dedicated to assisting women in need by providing a safe and comfortable home-like environment at no cost. Most of our needs and expenses are met by the church and by the kind contributions of sponsors and the general public.
Most of the women come to us directly or are sent by the police due to various circumstances including physical, verbal or mental abuse, no financial means to maintain themselves, no place to live and no family support. Assistance is given to each resident and their children based on their level of need in areas such, as food, clothing, schooling and medical needs.

Our mission is to ensure that they feel safe, get settled and have their basic needs met while providing a setting for spiritual and personal growth. Our intention is to direct them towards a purpose filled and stable lifestyle in which they can provide for themselves and their children.

Since we have been opened until now, we have not only housed mothers but widows and women from different circumstances in need of a safe place. It is our honour and privilege to continue to do so.

"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."
~ James 1:27.
